Cagliari’s Antonio Langella has been linked with a move to Roma after excelling this term.
"I’d definitely go because it would be a fantastic experience to play alongside Francesco Totti," he said. "Coming out of the tunnel at the Olimpico with all the fans singing would be incredible."
However, Langella confirmed it was just a dream – for now. "I’ve just signed a four-year contract with Cagliari, so it’s up to the club to decide. We’ll see at the end of the season.
Cagliari’s Antonio Langella admits that he has dreams of joining Sunday’s opponents Roma in the future.
"I have revealed in the past that I would really like to sign for the Giallorossi," said the attacking midfielder.
"The city is magnificent and the stadium is unique. Plus, who wouldn’t want to play alongside players such as Francesco Totti and Vincenzo Montella?"
Langella has been a revelation in the top-flight this term, even winning international honours in last month’s friendly win over Russia.
He was strongly linked with the capital club in January and it now seems possible that a move will occur at the end of this season.
But Langella is keen to underline his commitment to the Sardinian outfit while he’s still wearing their colours.
"I’m trying not to think about the transfer market for now," he added. "I am really close to this shirt and I want to honour it until the end of the campaign."
The 27-year-old had never previously played in Serie A before this season. In fact, he’s only had two years at Serie B level and was playing regional football as recently as 1999.
