Roma failed to win for the second consecutive week, as they were held to a disappointing 2-2 draw at home by Ascoli.
Rosella Sensi expressed all of her disappointment soon after the end of the match which saw Roma slide 4 points behind the Inter and Palermo duo.
"I'm very disappointed especially for the public.
"I would have liked to see the grit of the last 5 minutes for the entire match. The players must work harder."
Roma now travel to Udinese on Saturday for the 9th matchday in Serie A, hoping to hear good news coming from the Milan derby later on that night.

ROMA MUST WORK HARDER
Roma managing director Rosella Sensi has ordered her players to work harder ahead of Saturday's showdown at Udinese.
Sensi was fuming after her team's disappointing 2-2 draw against Ascoli in midweek, which left the Eternal City giants trailing four points behind Serie A leaders Internazionale and Palermo.
The Romans, who have high hopes of winning the Scudetto this season, were in fact lucky to salvage a point after a late equaliser from Philippe Mexes.
With just two points clinched in three games, Rosella Sensi, daughter of club owner Franco Sensi, is not satisfied.
"I cannot deny that I am extremely disappointed," she said.
"I didn't like the way my team played, I would have liked to have seen the determination they showed in the last five minutes of the game throughout the whole encounter.
"The players must apply themselves more. They must remember that they haven't won anything yet. On the pitch, they must give their souls to honour this shirt and not give performances which are clearly below their standard."
