Zeman: "Anti-Juve? No, We want to do well against everyone"
ROMA V BOLOGNA
Tomorrow I expect to see my team respond positively, as always. Things don't always go to plan but I'm confident because I think the players are working well. Dangers awaiting us in tomorrow's match? I expect difficulties in every game, it's up to us to overcome them. For example, Bologna did well against AC Milan, who are hardly the worst team in the league. We've been without our internationals recently but I think that has helped many of those who stayed behind because they have acquired greater confidence. As for the others, I don't think a week away changes much after two months of working together.
ITALIAN FA
Are my comments destabilising Roma? The interview [given to Sette, Corriere della Sera's weekly magazine] itself didn't, maybe some of the headlines they made out of it did. I might have been misinterpreted, all I said was that the FIGC [Italian FA] has missed a few opportunities to improve things in recent years. Have I cleared things up with the Italian FA? I just explained to the club how I had intended the interview to come out. De Rossi's injury? I'm not angry, these things happen. Daniele's injury in San Siro had no bearing on the one he picked up with Italy.
TOTTI
Francesco had less influence on the game against Catania than in San Siro against Inter because he hadn't settled into his new position. I don't think it had anything to do with Pjanic being on the pitch or not, though I might ask them to operate in different areas in the future.
DESTRO
Destro isn't just a centre forward – he can play in other roles up front. I think a forward's job is to score and it matters little whether he starts in the middle, on the left or the right. We play a bit differently to what he was used to at Siena last year so he may still have a few problems linking up with his team-mates, but he has talent and desire and I hope we'll see that tomorrow.
LAMELA AND LOPEZ
I see both as very promising players. Perhaps they're not always able to do what I ask of them, but then they sometimes pull off the unexpected with a bit of skill and come up with a solution anyway. How are they different? Lopez is more a finisher, Lamela more a provider.
BALZARETTI
Is he fit for tomorrow? He's got three training sessions in him and I think he's ready.
ROMA ANTI-JUVE?
I don't think we're anti-Juve. We just want to have the best season possible in a league with 20 other teams. Serie A is much more balanced than other leagues, where there are often three or four teams way ahead of the others. Here in Italy, top can always lose to bottom.
CONTROVERSY
Does the club want me to tone down my comments? They haven't asked me to, but it's normal that the club should want to protect Roma and that is my aim too. Will there be more controversy if the ref makes a mistake tomorrow? Referees are part and parcel of the game and they make mistakes just as players do. We all make mistakes. But I think it's right that refereeing errors should be pointed out as it helps to improve things.
ITALIAN FOOTBALL
Do I feel out of place in Italy? No, I've always been happy here, but we must realise that we can all improve: myself, the players and the directors. Germany had problems running their football in the 90s but then they developed and today German football is an example for other countries.
ENTHUSIASM
Is there too much enthusiasm in the dressing room? We can only benefit from it. Goicoechea? I like him a lot and I think he can be a success in Italy, but I can't tell you when he'll get his chance to play. Unfortunately Lobont got injured, but on the plus side we have Goicoechea and Svedkauskas so we have good cover in that area.

托蒂
弗朗西斯科在对阵卡塔尼亚比赛时的表现不及在圣西罗对阵国米，因为他还没有适应他的新位置。我不认为这和皮亚尼奇在不在场上有什么关系，当然今后我可能会要求他们胜任不同的场上位置。
迪斯特罗
迪斯特罗不仅仅时一个中锋——他可以在前场胜任其他位置。我认为一个前锋的职责就是取得进球，不在乎他是否在中间，左翼或是右翼。他还习惯于去年在锡耶纳的踢球方式，我们做的有点不同，所以他和他的队员可能仍存在一些问题。但他有天赋和欲望，我希望明天的比赛里我们能看到。
拉梅拉和洛佩斯
我看到了2个非常有前途的球员。或许他们不一定能做到我要求他们做的，但他们有时能通过个人能力获得意想不到的结果。他们有何不同？洛佩斯更擅长最后一击，拉梅拉则更擅长传球。
巴尔扎雷蒂
他明天能否出场？他参加了三堂训练课，我认为他准备好了。
罗马反尤文？
我不认为我们反尤文。我们只是想在联赛和其余19支球队的竞争中拥有一个表现出色的赛季。意甲相比于其他联赛更平衡，别的联赛经常有3、4支球队领先诸队。在意大利，榜首球队经常会输给保级队。
论战
俱乐部是否要我缓和我的评论？他们没有问我，但这很正常，俱乐部应该想着去保护罗马，我也是我的目标。如果明天的比赛里裁判犯错会有更大的争议？裁判是比赛中不可或缺的一部分，他们和球员一样也会犯错。我们都会犯错误。但我认为正确的方法应该是指出裁判的错误，这样才能有助于被改善执法水平。
意大利足球
我想过去意大利以外的地方吗？没有，我在这里很开心，但我们必须意识到我们可以改进：我自己、球员还有主管机构。德国足球曾经在90年代遇到了问题，但随后他们改善了这一现状。今天的德国足球是其他国家的楷模。
热情
在更衣室里有太多热情？我们能从中受益。戈伊科耶切亚？我非常欣赏他，我认为他可以在意大利取得成功。但我无法告诉你他什么时候会给他上场比赛的机会。不幸的是洛邦特受伤了，但从好的一面来看，我们还有戈伊科耶切亚和斯维迪考斯卡斯，所以我们在这个位置上得到了很好的解决。 |
