Jol wants Mido deal Tottenham boss Martin Jol is keen to sign Mido to a permanent contract, with the Egyptian having impressed in his time at White Hart Lane. Mido is on a 19-month loan from Roma, but has become an immediate hit with Spurs' fans and Jol confirmed that talks were already in progress. "This year he promised me he would be fit," said Jol. "He went back to Egypt and trained very hard and came back a different person. "He looked very good in pre-season and I think we are trying to get him on a permanent basis. "As every player in the Premier League, he has to prove his point but I think he's doing that." Mido is likely to be keen to complete a permanent move having never truly settled in his time in Italy |
