Roma have insisted that they will keep Antonio Cassano in Rome. Roma have been boosted by the news that their transfer embargo has been lifted for now, but that has started talk of possible departures. Cassano's current contract at Stadio Olimpico expires next summer and he has so far refused to pen a new deal. Rumours are now rife that Cassano will leave the Giallorossi but coach Luciano Spalletti is desperate to keep hold of the player. "We will be doing some things in the transfer market, but Cassano won't move," said Spalletti defiantly. Juventus have long been the main club interested in Cassano, but they look to be not so keen now after splashing out for Patrick Vieira. General manager Luciano Moggi has played down Juve's interest in Cassano. "Cassano isn't in our plans, and other Giallorossi players aren't.
