Real Madrid defender and Roma target Cicinho has scared the Giallorossi by stating that he would welcome a move to Sevilla.
The 27-year-old has been tipped to join the capital city club’s large Brazilian contingent, but a bid from the UEFA Cup winners has complicated matters.
“If Real Madrid and Sevilla were to find an agreement which satisfies me, I would not have any problem in accepting a move,” Cicinho told Spanish newspaper Marca.
“For the time being I am a Real player and I am waiting for the club and my agent to decide my future, but I am calm because I still have two years on my contract,” added the flying full-back.
“If Real Madrid want me to leave and the offer is suitable for all the parties involved there will be no problem at all, because I would leave after winning and that is what matters for me.
“Roma? They are a club that I like. They have contacted me and they are an interesting option, just like Sevilla,” concluded the Selecao international.
Reports over the past few days suggested that Cicinho could move to Roma shortly after Real Madrid agreed to lower their price to £6m.
The Giallorossi were previously unwilling to pay more than £5.5m, but had prepared a three-year contract for Cicinho worth £1.5m per season.
