Luciano Spalletti Unhappy With Comments Made By Roma President Rosella Sensi
The former boss of the Giallorossi has responded to Sensi’s comments.
Luciano Spalletti resigned as coach of Roma earlier in the week, and was immediately replaced by the former Juventus boss Claudio Ranieri, who has a little over seven days now to gear up his charges for his first match in charge against Siena.
The president of the Giallorossi, Rosella Sensi, recently stated that she was sad to see Spalletti leave the Italian capital, however also that she couldn’t understand why he would “jump ship” at this point in time; comments that haven’t gone down too well with the 50-year-old.
“I am disappointed with the recent comments made by Sensi,” Spalletti affirmed to Goal Italia.
“I have not jumped ship, and indeed it would have been easier for me to resign in June and maybe find another team in Italy.
“I greatly regret these words she had to say, especially considering the strong relationship we had.”
Sensi will most likely have something to say about her former employee’s response, so expect a reaction in the coming days.
