Siena president demands £4M for Bogdani

Siena president Paolo De Luca has slapped a £4 million price-tag on striker Erjon Bogdani.
The Albania international has a string of clubs chasing him, including Udinese, Roma, Chievo and Torino and De Luca said: "We consider him among the best attacking players on the market and at 29 years of age, Bogdani is worth £4 million.
"He is happy with us and I don't know if he will leave. Unless a serious offer arrives, we will happily hold onto him."
Chievo are pondering a move for Erjon Bogdani after the Albanian striker failed to finalise his transfer to Udinese.
The 29-year-old, who is currently at Siena, may therefore return to Verona where he netted 17 goals in Serie B for Hellas Verona in 2004-05.
Chievo sporting director Giovanni Sartori has made no secret of his admiration for Bogdani and reports suggest talks are underway to bring him to the Bentegodi.
The former Reggina and Dynamo Zagreb player has been courted by several teams such as Udinese, Torino and Roma, which has led to Siena asking for a £4.2m transfer fee.
“He is one of the best strikers on the market and that’s what he’s worth,” said President Paolo De Luca.
“The player likes it here in Siena and we intend to keep him unless we are presented with offers we cannot refuse.”
Chievo’s final summer transfers will also depend on the result of the Champions League second leg match against Levski Sofia on August 23.
If the Flying Donkeys fail to overturn the 2-0 deficit and do not qualify for the group stage then they will probably sell either Amauri or Franco Semioli, as confirmed by Coach Giuseppe Pillon.
