Lecce chief confirms Roma talks over Vucinic

Sporting director Guido Angelozzi has valued Vucinic at ?5.7m and confirmed that Roma have been tracking the player for some time. "We are willing to sell Vucinic because we want to somehow repay his extraordinary past performances for this club," he told the GRT news agency. "However, we will only do so if certain conditions are respected," he warned. "If Lecce receive an adequate offer we will let the player leave, otherwise he will stay with us for this season." Roma, despite recent claims from Giallorossi boss Luciano Spalletti, do seem to be in pole position for the Serbian international who only missed the World Cup Finals because of injury. "We have been working to find an agreement with the Roman club and are willing to consider a co-ownership," noted Angelozzi. "But the main point remains that Vucinic is a champion and he must be paid as such. "What will happen now? There is as much chance of him staying as him going.
