Tottenham striker Mido has requested a personal hearing at The Football Association after denying a charge of improper conduct. The Egyptian striker was dismissed during Tottenham's defeat to Chelsea, with The FA taking a dim view of his aerial challenge on Asier del Horno and his failure to leave the field of play promptly. Mido failed to overturn a three-match ban for wrongful dismissal, but feels he has a good change of beating the improper conduct rap. The 22-year-old Egypt international was upset with referee Rob Styles' ruling and continued his protest after the final whistle. A disciplinary commission will hear the case on September 20. |
