| | Luciano Spalletti travels to Reggina with an injury crisis, but is happy to see himself as Roma’s long-term manager in the Sir Alex Ferguson mould.
“A club does well to put its faith in a Coach and give him strength,” commented the former Udinese boss who has been linked with a contract extension giving him extra powers over transfer policy in the Premiership style.
“You need to have a good rapport with the directors and be clear with the fans. When I do go behind the desk of a club, I will try to make the tactician feel strong. The players must recognise him as a central figure in the side, but naturally you need a representative from the outfit too to discuss various other matters.” |
