Ternana starlet Luis Jimenez has distanced himself from reports linking him with a move to Juventus.
The Chilean starlet has been associated with a switch to the scandal-hit Italian giants following their demotion to the Second Division, but Jimenez isn’t so keen on joining the Old Lady.
“I’ve read about their interest in me, but playing in Serie B again would be a step backwards in my career,” he said.
Jimenez has just returned to the minnows after spending five months of the last campaign on loan at Fiorentina.
Although the Viola opted to not take up their option to sign him outright, the youngster is hopeful that he will complete a move to a First Division club this summer after Ternana’s relegation.
The creative attacking midfielder is believed to be of interest to Lazio, who were recently reinstated to Serie A, Inter and Palermo.
However, the South American also has admirers abroad including the likes of Atletico Madrid, Osasuna, Monaco and Portsmouth.
