Sarebbe stato Jurgen Klinsmann, neo-tecnico del Bayern Monaco, a convincere Lukas Podolski a non abbandonare la Baviera. L'ex cittì della nazionale tedesca, appena giunto sulla panchina dell'Allianz Arena, è molto legato all'attaccante di origine polacca dopo l'esperienza ai Mondiali del 2006 ed avrebbe garantito a "Prinz Poldi" un ruolo da protagonista nella prossima stagione. E' la classica non notizia che fa notizia. Oppure, visto che abiamo iniziato con una frase fatta, il classico silenzio che fa rumore. Nel primo pomeriggio di oggi, una persona vicina allo staff della A.S. Roma, ci informava circa un possibile contatto tra il managment giallorosso e quello del calciatore Lukas Podolski, invitandoci a contattare il procuratore del calciatore stesso. Kon Schramm, procuratore del calciatore renano e titolare della Player Managment insieme ad Andreas Stops, ascoltato da Laromasiamonoi.it, non si tirava indietro in merito alle domande che gli venivano poste. Ma alla domanda conclusiva su un possibile contatto tra la Roma e Podolski (Has been Podolski contacted by As Roma?), il manager del nazionale tedesco rimaneva un attimo in silenzio, per poi sorridere e affermare che "...at the moment we don't want to comment the situation of Lukas Podolski. But we like Italy and especially Rome. Obviously as a city (ridendo)". E se a Podolski ed al suo staff piace la città di Roma, alla città di Roma non dispiace assolutamente Lukas. Che verrebbe a riempire quel vuoto indicato da Spalletti ed a rifornire un settore che a Monaco è già coperto da Miroslav Klose, Luca Toni e Jan Schlaudraff, anche se quest'ultimo è in predicato di passare all' Hannover 96. Fisico potente (1,80 per 81 KG), in carriera ha collezionato 151 presenze segnando 68 gol, 10 dei quali nel'ultimo anno, dove ha collezionato 40 presenze tra campionato, coppa di Germania e Coppa Uefa. Forse, tra i superstiti di questo mercato, Lukas sarebbe proprio il calciatore che meglio si adatterebbe agli schemi della Roma di Spalletti, anche se i 15 milioni di euro che ci hanno riferito essere stati richiesti dal Bayern alla Roma, sembrano una cifra eccessiva per un calciatore che non segna gol a grappoli e che da solo non sarebbe in grado di fare la differenza. Ovviamente, alla luce dell'allontanamento di Cissè, quella di Podolski sembra più di una pista. Anche se da seguire a cifre inferiori.

The agent of Bayern Munich star Lukas Podolski has opened up the road to the Italian capital by admitting that his client loves Roma.

Another player whose name has been associated this summer is Bayern Munich’s Lukas Podoslki. The 23-year-old’s future at the Allianz Arena has been called into question recently, with the press consistently claiming that a summer transfer could be on the cards.

The forward joined Bayern from Cologne in 2006, however things have not really worked out for him in Bavaria, and he spent most of last season in the shadows of Luca Toni and Miroslav Klose.

However, a superb Euro 2008 with Germany has reminded everyone of his ability, and a number of Italian clubs, including Roma and Juventus, have been linked with making a move for him.

"At the moment we don't want to comment on the situation of Lukas Podolski,” the player's agent Kon Schramm told Laromasiamonoi.it after being asked about the possibility of a transfer to Roma.

“But we especially like Italy and Rome. Obviously as a city (laughing)."

Podolski was in fine form for Bayern today as he bagged a hat-trick in a 4-2 friendly win over Japanese side Urawa Red Diamonds.
