ROMA
Julio Sergio - 6: Was forced off injured midway through the first half. Had nothing to do while he was on the pitch.
Motta - N/A: Limped off injured after just nine minutes, to be replaced by Cassetti.
Andreolli - 6.5: The odd difficult moment against Lavezzi, but all in all he can be happy with his display. A few good interceptions.
Burdisso - 7.5: Led the backline very well in the absence of Mexes and Juan, and helped ensure that Quagliarella didn't get a sniff.
Riise - 6.5: Solid if not spectacular on the left hand side. Rocketed a shot just wide early on, and was never troubled defensively.
Cerci - 6: Started the game well with some right wing trickery, but lost Hamsik before Napoli's opener and was subbed at half time.
De Rossi - 7.5: Real heart in the middle of the park, and outclassed both Gargano and Cigarini. Would die for his hometown club.
Pizarro - 6.5: Sloppy in the first half with a few misplaced passes, but improved considerably after the break.
Perrotta - 7.5: Rolled back the years this afternoon with a 2006-like Perrotta performance. Up and down the pitch for 90 minutes, and was involved for Totti's first goal.
Vucinic - 7: Started slowly, but provided some inspired moments. Delivered the assist for Totti's first, and also put his team-mate through on goal in the second half.
Totti - 9: A true genius at times today. His through pass and bachkeel in the first 10 minutes were incomparable, and he would prove the difference-maker with Roma's two goals. Could have had a hat-trick, but denied by De Sanctis.
Subs
Cassetti - 6: Left his side open before Lavezzi's goal, but was fine thereafter.
Lobont - 5.5 At fault for Lavezzi goal, and looked a little nervous at times even if he had few other saves to make.
Faty 6.5 - Almost scored a remake of Marco van Basten's 1988 classic, and was strong and powerful in the second half. |
