Roma coach Luciano Spalletti has expressed his satisfaction with Mido following his return to the club.
Mido returned to the Italian capital after an 18-month loan spell at Tottenham.
The Egyptian was expected to make his move to Tottenham permanent, but the White Hart Lane decided against signing Mido.
Blackburn Rovers have been linked with Mido, but it appears they have shelved their interest in the player after signing Benni McCarthy from Porto.
Spalletti has been impressed by Mido in training and has hinted he could play a part in his plans for the new season.
"He's a motivated player," said Spalletti. "He must only settle down.
"We will try to give him a different preparation to allow him to enter the group.
"I've seen him playing few times and he's physically good and also he's good at heading."
