Agent confirms Barcelona talks for Roma's Dacourt

The agent of AS Roma midfielder Ollie Dacourt has confirmed the interest of Barcelona.
The French international is being tracked by Barca for the winter market and can be signed for a knockdown fee with his contract expiring in the summer.
"The Spanish have contacted Roma about Olivier already for January. But he is happy and understands that he will play less this season because of the emergence of Daniele De Rossi," said Dacourt's agent yesterday.
Internazionale are rumoured to be ready to take advantage of Roma's financial predicament by making a New Year bid for Olivier Dacourt.
Roma's monetary problems are well documented and it is widely expected they will be forced to sell when the transfer window reopens.
France international Dacourt is one of the club's more saleable assets and his resolute displays in the Roma midfield have made him a target for Inter.
Speculation in Italy suggests that the Nerazzurri are willing to offer Cristiano Zanetti and Kily Gonzalez in part exchange to persuade Roma to release Dacourt.
The 30-year-old's contract in the Eternal City expires in 2006 but Roma have, so far, shown no inclination to discuss an extension.
The club's financial situation is a factor in the lack of talks and Roma may find any offer from Inter difficult to refuse.
Giallorossi coach Luigi Delneri has lauded Dacourt for his influence on the team and would be reluctant to see the former Leeds United ace leave.
But the possible arrival of Zanetti and Kily Gonzalez could soften Delneri's mood, with reports intimating Roma will have no option but to sell Dacourt.
Barcelona and Juventus have also been linked with the combative midfielder but it appears as though Inter are at the head of the queue.
