Roma Offer Contract To Kewell
Kewell ended his miserable five-year stay on Merseyside at the end of last season when Liverpool opted against offering him a new contract.
Now a free agent, the 29-year-old has been heavily linked over the past week or so with a free transfer move to Roma.
According to Ansa, the Giallorossi have offered Kewell 1m per season in order to join them.
This is approximately 500k less than what the Australian is asking for, however it is believed that a compromise should not be too hard to find, and a transfer is very possible.
Nothing will be officially sorted however until Kewell returns from his holiday in a week’s time, but all the signs are there that the player could be landing in Rome.
