Vincent Candela, the 33 year old midfielder, isn't quite finished with football yet. The Frenchman left Messina on a free transfer this summer following the Sicilian club's relegation, and is on the hunt for a new club. The player said, "I still have a passion for football, but we will have to wait until the end of August to know what comes next. "I’m looking for an interesting challenge at a club where I can enjoy myself. I have great affection for Italy, but if that offer comes from abroad I may accept." The former Roma stalwart spent eight years at the capital side before a whirlwind tour of several clubs, starting with a short spell with Bolton in 2005. Then came a near-season long spell with Udinese, whom he left for Sienna in mid-2006. Finally, he joined Messina on a short-term deal.
