"I have not given up on buying Roma. Only there must be conditions in order to do so," Angelini told Il Corriere dello Sport.
"I have done everything possible to have clarity and information on the real position of the owners. I don't think it would be unfair to say that Roma are in the hands of the banks."
The Italian businessmen then announced that current president Rosella Sensi is doing all she can to block the sale of the Giallorossi.
"It seems clear to me, and I am absolutely convinced on this by so many things happening, the Sensi family have an obstructive position on the sale of Roma,
"I found every imaginable and unimaginable difficulty to get answers.
"Based on all the information I gathered, my initial offer was 130 million for the 67 per cent owned by the Sensi family, then the subsequent and inevitable takeover bid. That is to say a total valuation of around 220m."
When Angelini was asked if he was ready to step in again if the situation was to change, he simply replied, "Very willing."
