Massimo Moratti spoke about the difficult situation surrounding
Cristian Chivu, which saw the Romanian defender being sought by the
Nerazzurri, Real Madrid and Barcelona, before finally all giving up on
him, at least for the time being.
"We're officially out of this operation, but not informally, because I told the family Sensi about this," explained Moratti.
However, the Inter President believes that there are good chances that Chivu remains with the Giallorossi.
"It's not certain that Chivu leaves Roma, he can easily remain if they increase his salary."
Moratti also explained why the negotiations for the strong Roma defender failed to materialize.
"It was due to the auction which was created and I thought it was useless to be there.
"Then
the others retired from, the race, just like I did, and then they got
back to make a good deal. I don't think that's nice."
