RomaPress – Dan Friedkin is closing in on the acquisition of AS Roma, which should happen in the upcoming weeks. After months of the negotiations, the American tycoon and his son, Ryan, are close to becoming the new #1 and #2 of the Italian capital club.
Today, however, an article was published in Milano Finanza about Friedkin having made a “last minute blitz” to try and acquire AC Milan, who are owned by the Elliot Fund.
A legal executive of The Friedkin Group, though, has spoken exclusively to RomaPress and denied that this was the case.
”(That article) is an exaggeration, fantasy. Dan made an inquiry (for Milan) some time ago — 6-7 months, but it was nothing formal. It was only an inquiry and no formal offer was made,” he said.
”Everything is moving forward with Roma and will be finalised soon”.
