TITLE: Johann Vogel has confirmed he has held talks with Lazio as he prepares to leave PSV Eindhoven.
The Switzerland international has opted to sever his ties with the Dutch champions when his contract expires in the summer.
The midfielder and his agent have already been in discussions with Lazio regarding a free transfer move at the end of the season.
Vogel acknowledged there has been frequent contact with the Serie A side but insisted the ball is now in Lazio's court.
"My agents have frequently spoken with Lazio," Vogel told Corriere dello Sport. "Me, too, I had a telephone call with the club's sporting director.
"I'd really like to play with Lazio but nothing has been done yet.
"We spoke about everything, they know the situation. Now it depends on them. I have hope in it."
But while Vogel is willing to sign for Lazio, there is also interest from fellow Italian outfits Fiorentina and Roma.
Vogel acknowledged that Lazio are not necessarily his primary option but he would sign on the dotted line if he is offered the three-year contract he covets.
He added: "I can't say Lazio are the first choice but I can say that I'd be happy to play in a big Italian side like Lazio - this is certain.
"I'm looking for a three-year deal. I want to be contracted until 2008 as I don't want to be in the position of thinking about a transfer the year before the next European Championship."
