Roma striker John Carew has revealed that he could be on the verge of a switch to the Premiership.
The Norwegian ace is set to leave the Italian side at the end of this season once his loan spell expires.
The Giallorossi would be keen to keep hold of him but they have no intention of paying Valencia’s £5m asking price.
Now the 24-year-old admits he is assessing his options given the fact that Valencia are set to sell.
"My first choice would be to keep playing in Italy or Spain," he told Dagbladet. "However, I would consider a move to England if I received an interesting offer.
"I know that Roma want to keep me but they regard my price tag as too steep. I get the feeling they are playing it cool in a bid to get the price down."
The international has had a mixed season this term after scoring six goals in 23 League games for the club.
The Premiership duo of Middlesbrough and Fulham have been associated with the player in the past.
