Hertha Berlin wing-back Gilberto has welcomed reports linking him with Roma.
The Brazilian said: "It would be very good to go back to play in Rome.

"Roma is a great Italian club that is competing in the Champions League. For now I have not been in contact, I've only read about it in the newspapers."

31岁的吉尔伯托与赫塔的合同将在赛季末到期，由于俱乐部早就知道巴西人将不再准备与自己续约，因此当得到热刺的转会邀请后柏林赫塔也明确地表达了愿意促成吉尔伯托转会白鹿巷的态度。

      俱乐部的总经理迪特.赫内斯在接受体育一台采访时表示：“我们已经给热刺大开方便之门了，可以随时与我们进行谈判。”

      “不过热刺方面开出的转会费必须要确保我们可以用它引进合适替代的球员。”据报道热刺为合同仅剩半年的吉尔伯托开出的转会费是160万欧元，如果一切顺利这则转会将在近期得以完成。由于威尔士国脚贝尔再度受伤，目前在左后卫的位置上热刺只有韩国人李荣杓一个人可以使用。(Goal.com)
