Marek Jankulovksi has thanked Roma for their interest, but insists he has no intention of leaving Milan at the end of this season.
The Czech Republic star has been linked with a loan move to the capital where he would link up with former Udinese boss Luciano Spalletti again.
However, Jankulovksi has today committed his future to the Rossoneri despite his difficulties since his summer arrival from the Stadio Friuli.
“Am I joining Roma? It’s the first I’ve heard about it,” he claimed. “It’s pleasing to be of interest, but I want to pay back Milan for their faith in me after a year which hasn’t gone to plan.”
Jankulovski was netted in a £7m agreement, but he’s been hampered after he broke his ankle towards the end of the last campaign.
“It wasn’t easy to recover, but I now feel good again,” continued the versatile left-sided player.
“I took part in pre-season training, but I was out for the next four months and I got injured again once I returned with the national side.
“However, my difficulties were not just down to that fact. The impact of joining a great club, with a new system of play wasn’t easy.”
Jankulovski will take on a piece of his past at the weekend when his new club travel to Udine’s Stadio Friuli.
“It will be a special game for me as I spent three great years at Udinese,” commented the former Napoli ace.
“It won’t be an easy match for Milan even if Udinese have been struggling somewhat over the last few weeks.
“I really didn’t expect them to be fighting for their Serie A survival this season. Nevertheless, we are going there to win – as we always do before every game.”
