Parma deny Gilardino deal

Parma transfer chief Arrigo Sacchi insists that he’s not promised the services of Alberto Gilardino to anyone.
Whispers are circulating that the Gialloblu have already struck a deal with a club, possibly Milan, over his sale next summer.
But the former Italian national boss maintains that is simply not true. "He’s not been promised to anyone," he stated.
"There is no club in the world that can buy a player at this stage for the 2005-06 campaign."
The Under-21 international is a known target for the likes of Roma and Juventus but he recently extended his contract at the Stadio Tardini.
"We rejected the chance to pick up some players of great value in order to keep Alberto," added Sacchi. "He is a real champion and he can still mature."
Gilardino is one of the hottest properties in the Italian game right now after his 23 League goals last season.
He also led the Azzurrini side to the European title in the summer and is currently excelling at the Olympic Games.
