The Greek international defender is available on a Bosman free transfer after seeing out his contract with Italian giants AS Roma earlier this summer.

A number of clubs are keen on snapping up the 29-year-old, including Premiership clubs Fulham and Portsmouth, yet Bolton appear to be winning the race.

Dellas has reportedly already held talks with the Trotters and even undergone a medical, making the Lancashire club firm favourites to secure his signature in the coming days.
