Panucci's Brother: Christian Will Say Sorry To Roma
Patrick Panucci, brother of Roma defender Christian Panucci, revealed how things degenerated in the past few days between the two concerned parties.
However, he also reassured the Giallorossi fans that things will work out in the end as Panucci is planning a press conference in the coming days.
"I don't know what happened exactly, maybe some misunderstandings which ended with the refusal of my brother to sit on the bench, and from then onwards things degenerated," explained his brother to Radio Incontro.
"Slowly, both parties got closer and even the declarations of the team pleased my brother. Refusing the bench and not accepting the decision of the coach is always a mistake, but I won't say more.
"Refusing the bench is a gesture he shouldn't have done, therefore it's fair that he pays for it. He made a mistake, he accepted any decision taken by the club and I think that he will make a press conference to say sorry about this situation."
The proposed deadline-day transfer of Panucci from Roma to Hull City broke down because the two clubs were unable to agree a fee.
The 35-year-old defender has been at the club since 2001, and has played 249 league games and scored 20 goals for the Giallorossi.
