The Giallorossi already know how to spend the cash from Cassano’s sale, as a January move for Rodrigo Taddei is finally shaping up.
The Brazilian has been frozen out of the Siena squad since the summer, when he agreed basic terms with Roma and refused to negotiate with any other clubs. Before he can be released for £1.3m plus the loan of either Scurto or Corvia, the midfielder must first extend his contract with Siena.

Brazilian midfielder Rodrigo Taddei could finally resolve his long-standing impasse with Siena, according to reports in Italy.
Taddei has been at loggerheads with Siena since being pushed onto the sidelines by club president Paolo De Luca.
The Siena supremo was upset with the playmaker's attitude after he refused a new contract and pressed for a move to Roma.
He has been on the fringes this season but reports in Italy suggest that a compromise could now be reached which will eventually allow Taddei to link up with Roma.
The 24-year-old's agent has met with De Luca in a bid to thrash out the differences which could facilitate a move to Stadio Olimpico in the New Year.

AS Roma will sign Siena midfielder Rodrigo Taddei - but not in January.
The Brazilian's refusal in signing a new contract with Siena is expected to see president Paolo De Luca refuse to sell him when the winter market opens. Instead, the Siena supremo will insist Taddei sits out the remainder of the season until his contract winds down in June.
Roma will then move to snap up Taddei on a Bosman, unconcerned that he will have missed an entire 12 months of senior football due to his controversial stand-off with De Luca.
