MIDO believes that Spurs fans will see a new-look player when this season's Premiership gets underway.
The Egyptian striker, who is on an 18-month loan from Roma, has put in extra work over the closed season and he believes he will come back a better player for the new season, after scoring twice in Spurs' Peace Cup win in South Korea.
"I feel much better than last season, I knew before I signed for Spurs that the first five months would be difficult for me, because I didn't have a good preparation at the start of the season and didn't play a lot for Roma," said Mido, who scored twice on his Premiership debut against Portsmouth last season.
"I only took a short vacation in this close season - only six or seven days.
"I started working to get in shape for the preparation and I hope I can do much better in the coming season than the last.
"It is always much better, if you are in better shape you can do much more and be more of a help to your team."
Mido was selected to lead the Egyptian National team during the first half of the game which ended 2-0 to Portugal. He is considered one of the youngest captains in Egypt's history.
The Egyptians controlled the first half of the game causing danger for much of the half. The cross bar denied Meteb a goal late in the first half.
However, the second half consisted of heavy pressure for Portugal. Two goals in the second half were enough for Portugal in a game which lacked pace.
