Inter Milan supremo Moratti: We want Real Madrid's Samuel
tribalfootball.com - June 18, 2005 Inter Milan held talks with the representatives of Real Madrid pair Walter Samuel and Santiago Solari on Thursday. Both players are set to join Inter for cut-price fees and their agents were in Milan this week to discuss terms. Solari is ready to move to Inter, but Samuel is still taking some persuading, despite Real Madrid willing to send him to Italy on-loan for the new season. Inter have offered £2 million for a 12-month loan of Samuel and Real are on the verge of accepting. Solari is expected to move to Inter for around £3 million courtesy of a get-out clause in his Real contract. More negotiations with Samuel's representatives are scheduled for next week in Milan. Inter majority shareholder Massimo Moratti confirmed yesterday: "Samuel is one that we're following, but the financial appraisal is something still to be agreed. We cannot forget that a budget problem exists and must pay close attention to it." |
