Enzo Le Fée us reportedly the player to have made the biggest positive impression on Daniele De Rossi.

Over the course of this preseason, the ex-Rennes midfielder was one of a handful of players to feature in all friendlies from the start, appearing against Latina, Kosice, Toulouse, Olympiakos, Barnsley and Everton and scoring two goals along the way.

De Rossi never excluded him from the starting formation, hinting at an important role on Sunday when Roma are scheduled to face Cagliari in their Serie A season opener.

According to Corriere dello Sport, the Giallorossi boss and his staff were thoroughly impressed by Le Fée’s workrate and dedication as well as his adaptability on the pitch.

In Roma’s friendlies, he played as a deep midfielder, then alongside Cristante, also as a playmaker and finally central attacking midfielder.

The former Rennes player combines quantity with quality, is able to recover the ball and be seen between the lines and to raise the team’s center of gravity and speed up the game vertically.

Daniele De Rossi will be able to make use of an important signing in the first days of the new season.

One of the more positive aspects of Roma’s preseason was the addition of Enzo Le Fée.

The French midfielder consistently performed well in the capital club’s series of preseason friendlies, giving De Rossi a reason to question his choices for Roma’s starting line-up ahead of the new season.

According to Il Tempo, in fact, Le Fée will bring a competitive edge to the selections in the midfield.

More specifically, the Frenchman is a threat to Lorenzo Pellegrini who will have to step up in order to maintain a consistent place in De Rossi’s XI.

The newspaper suggests that in order to let Pellegrini find his best form, De Rossi will likely opt to rotate him with Le Fée in the first weeks of the new campaign.
