Morgan De Sanctis is delighted by rumours that Roma want him – but insists Udinese will decide his future.
"It is great to be considered by a club such as Roma," the Bianconeri goalkeeper told the Corriere dello Sport.
"They are one of the best sides in the championship and have a squad of players with a great future. It would be an excellent move for me."
The capital side are reportedly searching for a new goalkeeper given that Ivan Pelizzoli has failed to impress this season.
Roma have today been linked with Lazio No 1 Angelo Peruzzi but De Sanctis, who last week was called up to the Italy squad, is believed to be their primary target.
However, it is understood that the Friuli outfit’s valuation of the shot-stopper is a major problem.
"Udinese are a club who sell their players, not a club who give them away," conceded the £6m rated player.
The 27-year-old, previously of Pescara, has been at Udinese since his 1999 switch from Italian giants Juventus.

Lazio ‘keeper Angelo Peruzzi is being linked with a shock switch to capital rivals Roma.
Although the veteran started his career with the Giallorossi in 1986, he could move directly between the two clubs in the summer
Roma are in the midst of a goalkeeping crisis given the inconsistent form of Ivan Pelizzoli.
The latter, who has won international honours, has suffered badly at times this term and was recently dropped.
He returned to action on Saturday against Inter but looked far from secure as he was beaten by two Sinisa Mihajlovic free-kicks.
Udinese’s Morgan De Sanctis is understood to be high on Roma’s wish list but his asking price seems too steep.
That may open the door for Peruzzi who will be available for nothing at the end of the season.
The former Italian international, now 35, has enjoyed a sparkling career in Serie A, basically winning everything with Juventus between 1991 and 1999.
Peruzzi, who joined Lazio in the summer of 2000, has also appeared in goal for Verona and Inter.
