Roma’s Egyptian ace Mido wants a move to England according to his agent. The youngster has failed to settle in Italy and Fulham, Newcastle, Manchester City and Everton are all keen. "Mido has not played for three months," said Christophe Henrtay. "It is difficult because all he wants to do is play and he would like a move to the Premiership."

Southampton seem set to be frustrated in their attempts to sign Roma striker Mido.

The Saints are believed to be interested in signing the Egyptian international as Harry Redknapp looks at reshaping the squad at St Mary's.

Southampton have been long-term admirers of Mido and tried to sign him during the summer before he moved to Roma.

Mido has not enjoyed the best of times in the Italian capital since his move and has struggled to establish himself in the first team.

Southampton and Fulham are now both believed to be ready to offer him a route out of Italy, but the player's agent Christophe Henrotay believes a move looks unlikely as Roma do not want to let him go.

"I have not spoken to Southampton chairman Rupert Lowe about Mido and I guess if he is interested he would contact me," Henrotay told skysports.com

"He knows all about Mido and I guess if they possibly sell James Beattie they may try and replace him.

"Mido is not playing much for Roma, but I don't think they would be prepared to let him go.

"They want to keep hold of their squad, but in football you never know they may decide to let him leave.

"There has been some interest in Mido, but we are in no rush over a move."

Mido 的经纪人 Christophe Henrotay  接受采访时承认球员受到 Southampton 和 Fulham 等俱乐部的关注，但双方并没有实质性接触。另一方面，他认为 Roma 为保持阵容完整，不准备放人，而球员也不急于转会。

Roma flop Mido will be given at least six more months to prove himself at the Stadio Olimpico.

The Egyptian striker has been linked with a January switch but the summer signing will remain.

"Mido will be staying because the capital club want him to," his agent Mino Raiola stated.

"Up to now, the club haven’t told me that he is available for transfer – even if there is interest from Spanish, English and German clubs."
