Juventus are on the trail of Bordeaux's highly-rated young midfielder Rio Mavuba.
The 20-year-old's career has enjoyed a meteoric rise during the past 12 months following his breakthrough into the Bordeaux first team.
Despite his lack of professional experience, Mavuba has already forced his way into the France squad and has been regularly involved under Raymond Domenech.
His progress was rewarded by Bordeaux in October when the midfielder was handed a contract extension to keep him at the club until 2009.
That has not deterred his suitors, with Juve having dispatched a scout to watch Mavuba in action last weekend.
Mavuba's performance against Auxerre was put under the microscope by the Italian giants, who will now weigh up a move for the starlet.
