Skysports.com can reveal that Marseille striker Mido is set to join to Italian giants Roma.
The Egyptian striker is in talks with Roma after they agreed a deal with Marseille.
The 21-year-old's future has been the subject of intense speculation all summer with the likes of Newcastle, Southampton and Manchester City all linked with his signature.
A move to England failed to materialise and Mido seemed set to stay at Marseille after pledging to stay at the French club.
However, Roma have made a late move for the skilful striker after missing out on moves for Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Luis Fabiano.
The player's agent Christophe Henrotay revealed to skysports.com that Roma had reached an agreement with Marseille for Mido and that they are working round the clock to seal the deal before the close of the transfer window.
"We are discussing a deal with Roma at present," Henrotay told skysports.com.
"It is a permanent move and it will either be a four or five-year deal.
"We are just trying to solve the details before the close of the transfer window.
"It is a big chance for him to play in Italy and Roma are paying a lot of money for him."
