The captain of the Italian Under-21 side, Marco Motta, is set to join Roma in the morning, according to the latest reports from Tuttomercatoweb.
It is believed that the details regarding the transfer of Motta from Udinese to the Italian capital have been finalised, meaning that all that remains is a public announcement, before the deal can be made official.
Motta is a right-back, who has been with the Bianconeri of Udine since 2005. He spent last season on loan at Torino, and has returned to become a more consistent performer this term.
As a result of his performances, he has been linked to a number of clubs throughout the season, including Palermo, Juventus and obviously Roma, the team that will acquire his services.
He will prove to be a great inclusion for the capital club, as at just 22 years of age his best is still to come.
He is certainly the perfect signing for the Giallorossi at this point in time, as the club is in desperate need of some cover at the back, following the serious muscular injury to Marco Cassetti, as well as for the imminent departure of the veteran Christian Panucci.
