Roma boss Luciano Spalletti has ruled out a January swoop for Udinese striker Vincenzo Iaquinta.
The latter is expected to be sold in the New Year after being frozen out of the squad for refusing to sign a new contract.
But Spalletti, who bossed the Italian international at the Stadio Friuli last term, insists he won’t be joining the capital club.
"He is of no interest to us, I already have two strikers at my disposal," the highly rated tactician stated.
Roma currently have Shabani Nonda, a summer signing from Monaco, and Vincenzo Montella on their books.
Spalletti also refused to comment on what his thoughts are with regard to the Iaquinta situation.
"I have no elements in which to express my opinions," he diplomatically replied.
