Taddei denies Roma deal

Rodrigo Taddei maintains he hasn’t agreed to join another club as his contract row with Siena continues.
The Brazilian has been frozen out of the Tuscan squad after refusing to extend his deal over the summer – as he wanted to join Roma instead.
That infuriated President Paolo De Luca, who didn’t only refuse his sale but also decided to withdraw the midfielder from Gigi Simoni’s squad.
"The President can say whatever he wants but the truth is that I haven’t signed for anybody else, not even Roma," he stated.
"A lot of clubs have expressed an interest, and that includes Roma, but I have no agreement with any other teams."
Taddei, whose contract expires in June 2005, has now been on the sidelines for the last two months but he is eager to give his contribution to the Bianconeri.
"People stop me in the street and ask why I’m not playing," he added. "This is an absurd situation.
"My teammates want me back and I hope to be playing for Siena again as soon as possible."
