Philippe Mexes is keen on renewing his Roma contract despite having attracted interest from several massive clubs. The 24-year-old is contracted to the Giallorossi until 2008 and has been paired with a ￡7.5m summer move to either Milan or Real Madrid. However, the former Auxerre stopper has underlined that the capital city outfit are his primary concern. “We have several issues to discuss [including the ￡1.7m salary cap], but I am ready to meet with Roma officials to discuss my renewal,” said the Frenchman. “I like it here. This is a young squad and it feels like a large family.
