Roma midfield ace Alberto Aquilani has been locked in talks over a new deal with the club since last summer. His current contract with the Giallorossi is set to run out in June 2010 and, unless he signs a new agreement in the coming weeks, it is likely that his employers will be forced to sell him this summer.
The 24-year-old has also had friction with the club’s supporters in recent weeks after a series of off-colour performances. Therefore, the club have decided to rally around the troubled star and attempt to put an end to speculation once and for all.
La Gazzetta dello Sport reports that Aquilani has again been offered an extension until June 2013, with wages of 1.5 million per season plus bonuses. However, the Italian international is still holding out for a salary of 2.2m per year and also wants reassurances over his role in the team.
Meanwhile, the Guerin Sportivo claims that ‘Il Principino’ could hire Davide Lippi, the son of Italy coach Marcello, as his new representative after parting company with Franco Zavaglia.
Davide Lippi was recently acquitted of charges relating to his involvement in the GEA group, the agency headed by Luciano Moggi’s son, Alessandro.
There are whispers that this move could pave the way for Aquilani’s switch to Juventus.
罗马体育报说罗马再次给出150万年薪加奖金的到2013年合同,不过球员方要求220万年薪,并且希望能够保证他的位置。 |
