Agent: Roma didn’t try for Totò / Tuesday 5 February, 2008
The agent of Udinese striker Antonio Di Natale has surprisingly denied that Roma ever made an approach for the Azzurri star.
Di Natale’s value has rocketed this term due to his impressive form for Udinese and the Italian national side.
There was widespread speculation before the winter transfer window that Roma were looking to lure the 30-year-old, but no offer materialised and the player’s representative insists that there was never any contact.
“It’s not true that Roma asked Udinese for Di Natale,” Bruno Carpeggiani told Romanews.eu.
“There certainly hasn’t been anything this year. It’s still too early to know Antonio’s future.
“The player has a contract that binds him to Udinese and he is happy to play for Pasquale Marino’s side.
“Of course, if a big offer from a top club like Roma came, he would be happy to go there, but until somebody contacts President Giampaolo Pozzo, there is very little to be done.”
經紀人澄清:實際上至今為止,從未有類似羅馬這樣的名門對迪納塔萊進行報價,一切都將在夏天以後才會有結果[em20] |
