Former Palermo coach Francesco Guidolin has denied having had any contact with Roma.

Guidolin surprisingly quit the Sicilian outfit after guiding them to Uefa Cup qualification - with Luigi Delneri taking his place on the Palermo bench.

The popular tactician admits that he will be looking for a new club but he has not yet ruled out taking a season-long sabbatical.

''I haven't had contact with Roma,'' confirmed Guidolin.

''I am waiting to find a solution and I could also have a season's break. We will see.

''I've never been reccommended. For me, results do the talking.

''Between the coaches who haven't managed a big side, my curriculum is the best one.''
