Duo could leave Roma

RomaRoma may be pressed into reshuffling their rearguard in the summer due to doubts about the futures of two defenders.

Traianos Dellas and Matteo Ferrari could both leave Stadio Olimpico at the end of the season, leaving Roma with a huge void to fill.

Dellas is out of contract in the Eternal City at the campaign's conclusion and is increasingly likely to exit the club.

The 29-year-old joined the Giallorossi from Perugia in 2002 and played a major role in Greece's shock Euro 2004 triumph.

He was linked with a departure from the club last summer but stayed in the Italian capital and has featured on a regular basis.

However, his demands for a new contract are more than Roma are currently willing to pay and it seems inevitable he will leave the club on a free transfer.

Spain appears to be his most likely destination at present, with Barcelona, Deportivo La Coruna and Real Betis all pondering a pre-contract offer.

Meanwhile, Ferrari's future with Roma is also in doubt, despite the fact he only joined the club from Parma last summer.

The Italy international has quickly established himself as a mainstay of the team but reports suggest he is unhappy at the club.

It is purported the defender is not enamoured

AS Roma defender and European champion Traianos Dellas is set to join a Liga side on a free at the end of the season.
The Greek player has attempted to convince the Giallorosso management to retain his services in these past months, however silence has been the only answer he received in exchange.

His manager Maurizio Tonnicchi will meet with Barcelona, Betis, and Deportivo emissaries this week to evaluate the various proposals these Liga sides have prepared for him.

Matteo Ferrari, who joined Roma over the course of last summer, also appears to be heading out of the Italian capital once the season ends.

Dellas, Ferrari and Dacourt will most probably leave the Giallorossi in summer.
Poor performances and lack of money are pushing Roma to sell players in June: Dellas, Ferrari and Dacourt. All three players are requested by many clubs and their sale would help the Giallorossi’s bank account.

Dellas is followed by Spanish sides, including Barcelona, Betis and Deportivo while Ferrari and Dacourt will most likely remain in Italy as Juve, Inter and Milan have knocked on Roma’s door to acquire the services of these players.

Other players rumoured to be on their way out of Rome are Cassano, Tommasi and, after last weekend’s performance against Inter, Pelizzoli.
