Midfield duo on Hughes' radar

Manchester City have been linked with big-money summer moves for Roma's Daniele de Rossi and Sevilla midfielder Renato.
City boss Mark Hughes is actively looking around Europe for new recruits and midfield duo de Rossi and Renato are reportedly on his long wish-list.
Roma are desperately trying to trim their wage bill and are looking to offload the likes of central midfielder de Rossi and Simone Perrotta.
Inter Milan are very keen on him and have already tested the water with one tentative bid, believed to be in the region of 25million for the highly-rated star.
Money is not a problem to City and Hughes may enter a battle to sign him in the summer with reports suggesting his preferred option is a move to England.
Renato, meanwhile, is another Hughes has in mind and the Brazilian is thought to be keen to team up with fellow countrymen Robinho and Elano at Eastlands.
He still has four years to run on his current Sevilla deal, however, so it would take a big offer to land the 29-year-old over the close season.
