Roma striker Borja Mayoral could be on the move when the transfer window reopens in January.
The Spaniard has seen a significant reduction in playing time under manager José Mourinho and could decide to call it quits in the Italian capital after eighteen months.
Odds of a possible exit increased today after Italian agent Davide Lippi, who was the intermediary that brought the striker to Roma, confirmed that a move to Fiorentina is a possibility.
“As of today, there’s a chance of this happening (Mayoral joining Fiorentina),” he said to Tuttomercatoweb.
“The transfer market hasn’t opened yet and today he’s a Roma player. We’ll see in the future if he ends up going to Fiorentina. I think he’s a tad stung by his situation with the Giallorossi, especially after how he performed last season.”
He added, “But we’ll see whether he joins Fiorentina or another club. Let’s remember that he’s still owned by Real Madrid and Roma have an option to make his loan permanent.”
“Let’s see what happens, we still need to do all of the necessary meetings to assess the situation.”
