SASSUOLO
Sassuolo and Empoli have been the two big revelations this season. They have exceeded expectations. Sassuolo play good football and have a great attack. Last season, we couldn’t beat them at home. Tomorrow will be a tough match, there’s no doubt about that. I'll put out the side that gives me the best chance of getting the three points. This is a tough league – if we play at 100% we’ll be able to win, but even at 90% we’ll have much less chance of getting the result. Maicon? He can play every game – he’s in great shape. If we win tomorrow, we’ll have the same points as we did at this stage of last season. That would be a great achievement for us.

De Sanctis’ renewal has been in our plans for a while. Morgan’s been with us for a year and a half. Not only is he a great goalkeeper, he’s also a good man who benefits the whole group. In De Sanctis and Skorupski we have two excellent goalies. And that is great for me.

I’m not interested in the result of the match in Florence. I’m focused on our team and winning our games. If we win the rest of our games, we’ll get our just reward. We’ve not conceded many goals so far. That means we’re defending well and don’t have many problems. We’ve had a lot of injuries in that area of the field and I’ve changed the personnel a lot, but despite all that we’re still doing well. Well done to the guys on that.

I have no problems with him at all. He’s a player any coach would like to have. He’s a diamond. He’ll play anywhere I ask him to – I just hope I don’t have to put him in goal tomorrow, although he’d probably do well there too! I hope he follows in the footsteps of Totti and De Rossi. That would mean he thinks he can fulfil his ambitions here.
