Roma winger Alessio Cerci is in the clear after suffering an injury scare to his left knee. Results from a scan show the problem is less serious than was first thought.
According to Romagiallorossa.com, the Italian under-21 international went down with a knee problem during this morning's training session at the club's summer camp in Riscone di Brunico.
Cerci was forced to abandon the traning after complaining of pain to his knee, and he was taken in for a medical examination to analyse the extent of his injury.
The results from the scan show there is no serious problem with his left knee and thus he will be able to return to training as soon as tomorrow. It's a relief for coach Luciano Spalletti who has already lost midfielder Simone Perrotta for two months after the Italian suffered a muscle tear last week.
Cerci returned to the Lupi this summer after spending last year on loan with Atalanta
