Vucinic Escapes Striptease Punishment
Roma striker Mirko Vucinic will not be punished for his strip show against Cagliari after Italian sports judge Gianpaolo Tosel decided no further action was needed.
The hit-man celebrated in unusual ways when he took shorts and shirt off in front of the Stadio Olimpico crowd during the 3-2 win over Cagliari on Sunday afternoon.
His celebration caused some controversy, with some even calling for a ban.
However, Tosel looked at the incident and brushed it under the carpet.
"I am more of a notary than a judge and I examine the referee's reports and take action accordingly," Tosel told Ansa.it.
"The report can only be surpassed by television evidence but this is not available to me.
"I take a note of the report and try to translate this in disciplinary terms because I cannot change what has already been written by the referee.
"In order to punish actions like this one then the code of sports justice must be changed."
