Tavano Officially Livorno's
Livorno have announced the signings of a number of interesting players, including former Valencia and Roma misfit Francesco Tavano on a loan deal.
Francesco Tavano is now officially a Livorno player, as well as Fausto Rossini, Massimo Loviso and Emanuele Filippini. Club president Aldo Spinelli had announced that a loan deal had been settled earlier in the week, but the official confirmation arrived only today. The ex-Empoli striker is still owned by Valencia, however he spent the last six months at Roma where he was on loan, scoring just twice in 14 Serie A appearences.
After scoring 19 goals for Empoli both in 2004-05 and 2005-06, he was transferred to Spain but was largely ignored by coach Quique Sanchez Florez, playing just three La Liga games without scoring.
The Tuscan club have also confirmed the arrival of striker Rossini from Catania and Bologna midfielders Emanuele Filippini, who will rejoin twin brother Antonio at Livorno, and Loviso.
The Amaranto also sold midfielder Dario Passoni, who has spent four seasons with Spinelli's club, to Serie B outfit Mantova.
